What Do I say
What Do I Say
It’s inevitable that one day I will leave this Earth.
I started out a seed of sin from conception and been sinning
since birth.
What do you say when you are standing in front of
perfection?
It’s not a man on the other side of the wall listening to
you at confession.
She knew what you were thinking when you stole the bike from
up the street.
Painted it gray put it behind the house then started riding
it the next week.
The ten commandments are not a checklist of all your bad
accomplishments.
Got so much dirt and blood upon my hands I need holy water
to wash them in.
What do I say about the man’s wife that I was sleeping with?
This is not a court of law I can’t plead the 5th.
Thou shalt not kill, yet I sent you an angel.
Will he be standing by your side with a heart filled with
anger?
When I look back at it I was a man with many wives, a man
that took a life.
A man that told many lies, and when it rains on sunny days
those are the tears from God’s eyes.
I mean…Is she disappointed in me?
I was born in the hood raised in the hood and lived a life
of poverty.
But what do I say? She knows everything that I have done.
It’s time to man up and face the music cause I have nowhere
left to run.
No one else to blame no other games to play.
When I am standing there on judgement day tell me…What do I
say?
